Happy Birthday to one of as @ Ipotiheritageblogspot.com

To God be the glory for giving me another golden opportunity to witness this day, 29th December, 2017 which happens to be my birthday. Therefore, the whole world celebrates and wish me happy birthday today. My little experience of life, so far, shows that when disaster or misfortune occurs, one should take consolation in the wording and serenity of this favourite prayer as guide at all times. The prayer reads as follows:
God, give me the serenity to accept what I cannot change, the courage to change what I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
As we all experience the vicissitude of life – wealth today and virtually pennilessness tomorrow, sorrows, illness, and even anxiety about where the day’s meal might come from – let us remember that external things need not destroy our hope; true happiness does not lie in transient things, nor in things provided by human beings. It can only be found in God. I appreciate Almighty God, He is closer to me than I realize, watching every move I make on the chessboard of life.
I have been guided by these aphorisms that have helped me to achieve success. The first has only four words “It can be done”. It is the affirmation of my faith in the Almighty God that, with Him, all things are possible. Consequently, when at first I try to do something and do not succeed, I do not give up; I always try, try and try again until I succeed. The second aphorism is credited to Abraham Lincoln. It reads thus:
Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.
So, a combination of the two aphorisms emphasizes the need to combine one’s faith in God with hard work in order to succeed in life.
Thank you for taking your time to wish me happy birthday.

Yinka Ayefele to mark 20th anniversary of car accident

Popular gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele is set to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ghastly auto accident that confined him to a wheel chair and changed his life forever. According to the musician, in appreciation of God’s mercy, he has concluded plans to mark two decades of the accident with a week-long series of activities in Oyo and Ekiti states between December 12 and December 17.
Ayefele said he believes the incident, though a sad one, was what transformed his life and he has to reach out to people in order to appreciate God’s magnanimity in his life over the last two decades.
Hence, on Tuesday, December 12, Ayefele and his friends will be in his hometown of Ipoti, Ekiti State, to commission a multi-million naira hall he will be donating to his alma mater, Ipoti High School. Also on that day, the musician, through his Yinka Ayefele Foundation, will be putting smile on the faces of 100 women of Ipoti stock by empowering them with various cash gift.
Ayefele and his team will also visit various orphanages, old people’s homes and hospitals, particularly, the University College Hospital, UCH in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, where he will present buses, cash gift and food items to the less privileged in the homes and patients in the hospital.
And the climax of the remembrance will be on Sunday December 17 with a thanksgiving service, launching of the 20th year remembrance album and public presentation of his first book titled ‘You and Your Spine’.
The event will hold at the Music House, Challenge, Ibadan.
On December 12, 1997, Ayefele was involved in a ghastly motor accident along Ibadan/Abeokuta Road. The tragic event in which he lost the use of legs has been the motivation for many of his songs.
Ayefele is a recipient of over 200 awards, including the Member of the Order of the Niger, MON, a recognition bestowed on him by former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Music reduces someone's depressions and stress.

Somebody once ask me:
Why did you like music so much?
I replied:
Because it's only thing that stays when everything and everyone is gone.
My late daddy also emphasized:...
Music reduces someone's depressions and stress, improves thinking faculty, makes you recover your lost memory, speed up your job undertaken, makes you happier and brings lighter mood.

REMARKS BY HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, OBA OLADIPUPO JAMES KOLADE (OLUWADEMILADE 1) THE OLUPOTI OF IPOTI KINGDOM @ IPOTI DAY 2017 CELEBRATIONS

I feel delighted and very grateful to God to welcome you all to another epoch occasion of 2017 Ipoti day celebration.

This is our Jerusalem, our abode and heritage and as a bonafide indigenes of this town, we have to uphold our heritage alive by being together in peace and unity with ourselves. We must continue to strive for the unity of Ipoti-Ekiti because, it is by continuing efforts that termite builds their own nest. By working together of the teeth make it easier to chew meat. If every one of us can come together as one family in our thinking, reasoning, interest, goal, focus and perseverance, we will move this town forward.

This being the nineteenth edition of this celebration, I wish to use this opportunity once again to call on all Ipoti indigenes not to allow enemies outside there to cause disaffection among us. Once we jointly shun those enemies outside, we render them powerless.

In conclusion, I appreciate all our visitors to this year celebration. Your love, affinity and contributions for Ipoti development shall never be forgotten. My special thanks to all Guests of Honour, Chairman of the occasion, Royal Father and all of you present here today. May God keep you beyond next year celebration and be with you in your journey back to your destination. God bless you all.

Chief Host, Ipoti Day 2017

Dr. Evang. Yinka Ayefele, MON, is a Nigerian, gospel singer, songwriter and music producer.
Ayefele was born in Ekiti State southwestern Nigeria and hails from Ipoti, a city in Ekiti State southwestern Nigeria. He had attended Our Saviour's Anglican Primary School in Ipoti-Ekiti for his primary and Community Secondary School, Ipoti for secondary education before he later proceeded to Ondo State College of Arts and Science in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria.
Ayefele worked briefly as journalist and broadcaster at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan, where he also produced jingles and musical works on radio. He began his music career in 1997 after he was involved in an automobile accident which damaged his spinal cord and confined him to a wheelchair. While in the hospital after spending about 9 months, his friend, Kola Olawuyi visited and advised him to put some songs together. This suggestion resulted in the release of his debut album titled, Bitter Experience in 1998 which brought him into limelight.
The release of Bitter experience was followed by the release of Sweet Experience. Other albums released by the gospel musician are Something Else, Divine Intervention and Life after death, released in honor of Gbenga Adeboye a Nigerian radio presenter, musician and comedian. The title Bitter Experience reflected his ordeal and Sweet Experience was the sweetness after a “Bitter Experience”.
He had received over 200 awards.
